Dr. Seth Kaufman, MD

Physiatrist - Pain Management

Dr. Seth Kaufman is a Board-Certified Fellowship trained Physiatrist, specializing in non-operative orthopedic and spinal care. He obtained his undergraduate degree at Brandeis University in Waltham, Massachusetts graduating with distinction and obtained his medical degree from the New York College of Osteopathic Medicine in Old Westbury, New York.

Following medical school, Dr. Kaufman completed two internships; one a traditional rotating internship followed by a second internship in general surgery at St. Barnabas Medical Center in Livingston, New Jersey. He then went on to complete his residency at The Boston University Medical Center in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation.

While in Boston, Dr. Kaufman spent much of his training at Harvard Medical School’s Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital where he excelled and obtained the highest recommendations from the faculty and staff. He pursued his fellowship in Interventional Spine with Dr. Brian Kahan at the Kahan Center for Pain Physiatric Rehabilitation in Annapolis, Maryland.

Dr. Kaufman specializes in non-operative, minimally invasive, orthopedic care including herniated disc, spinal stenosis, neck, and low back pain. He also cares for other orthopedic injuries including shoulder, hip and knee arthritis and utilizes the latest techniques including regenerative technology to treat these injuries. He has worked extensively with some of the most highly trained spine surgeons in the world, including those from the Mayo Clinic and John Hopkins. Dr. Seth Kaufman is firmly committed to a patient centered and conservative approach to the treatment of musculoskeletal pathology.
